21 century inventions
Fans of the 21 century inventions have probably already heard the news that MIT researchers are working on the development of a robot wheelchair that finds its way around a building 'listening' to voice commands. First of all, the innovative autonomous wheelchair learns as much as possible about the locations in a particular building, then taking the sitting person to the necessary location after receiving a verbal command.
All the passenger has to do is to give a simple command to the wheelchair, such as "take me to the reception hall" or "go to my room," without any need for controlling every turn of the route. The smart wheelchair is really comfortable as it allows its passenger to sit back and relax, moving from one location to another according to a map stored in its memory.
