Google to Launch Its Own App Shop - Chrome Web Store


On Wednesday the number one search engine, Google, offered some information on its upcoming online Chrome Web Store that the company is currently working on. The store will feature games and a wide range of applications created for online use.

Recently Google has hosted an annual developers conference, attended by Sundar Pichai, Google vice president of product management. Pichai mentioned that besides different applications, Chrome Web Store will include ratings, reviews and comments.

People developing applications will have the possibility to make their creations available for free or sell them. Users will be able to access the store using any type of Web browser. Speaking of browsers - Pichai mentioned that today more than 70 million people use Google's Chrome.

The company's Web Store will be launched later this year and will be available in over 40 languages and 70 nations. More than 5,000 people from 66 countries decided to attend the I/O Conference, which will last 2 days and include sessions regarding ways of developing applications that could work with different types of software developed by Google, including Android and Chrome.
