I have a wooden katana and 3 Blunt katana's but i have the 3 blunts as show. Some people want them for show and respect that in the end yes their swords but if you treat a katana with respect but there is no real places to learn all this when you want to learn. Im the 17 but its mostly people who have nothing better to do and think their clever that go around with this sword to kill

It's a very good law. According to recent surveys, the number of knife/sword related crimes have decreased. This shows the effectiveness of this law.
Obviously the ones who want to buy cheap replica swords are teenage punks who think they are trained ninjas because they watch too much TV and spend too much time on the net.
And the majority of knife/sword related incidents are committed by these kids. So by passing this law, it puts yet another weapon out of their reach. And as for you who think swords and knives are the same-they're not. It takes one blow from a sword to cause serious injury or even death. As for a kitchen knife, it takes 2-5 minutes to cause the same damage. So stop whining, grow up and face reality.

I can't believe they've done this dude, what ever happened to This is modern england where people live there lives they want to and have the freedom to do anything, I'm only frickin 13 and even I know this is bad......If I had a sword I wouldn't use it-My suggestion would be that the government hires martal artists (proffessionals of course) who could dis-arm dangerous wielders of weapons, simple and effective.... I wanted a katana to put on my wall this christmas cause I'm learning Ninjutsu and the 18 samurai disciplines, I'd spend huundreds of pounds on katana's to have them taken away..... grr
Uncool and unfair - I'm not a chav or anything i'm just angry cause it robs martal artists of there skills and collectors of there hobby

Law courts should establish a special punishment for such criminals. 14 years in jail- that's too kind considering the things he committed. In this case the police should also bear the responsibility. The guy had several convictions and they didn't even watch him. That's a breach of duty!!!

I'll never believe that men with several wives live longer. More wives, more troubles, more stress. There is just one possible explanation for that. Maybe relationships in a lawful matrimony cause less stressful moments for men than the situation when they try to hide several affairs.

why better not concentrate on making people NOT use those guns and preventing such cases from appearing??? giving the teachers the right to use guns, even when it's for the sake of children's security, is just an encouragement for violence, in my opinion. Americans should better try to increase the level of security in schools or embetter the guardians' professionality.
