No wonder the such robot was created in colaboration with German carmakers, since audi and vw create some of the best cars in the world. This is a great invention, but I think it might scape some people who think that robots could soon take ove the world and make people slaves.

you know, many kids do feel there is a good side in drunk driving? Its exciting, its fun, of course its wrong, but kids don't always care about that now do they. Haley's just saying it presents drunk driving in a realistic way in which people, teenagers mostly, can learn from. Don't be a wise crack bout it cuz Haley's got a pretty valid point

My sister has been staying with us due to an illness. She too takes Ambien CR. No less than 30 min after taking the medication she is belligerent, child like and will stare at me when I am talking to her. She has a look of " lights are on nobodies home." I have found her stabbing at cans with large kitchen knives. Same with scissors. The fact that she didn't get a serious injury is a miracle. She staggers through the house often bruising herself, takes things which are not hers, and claims many things to be hers which are not. All this during the middle of the night. Will be talking with her Dr. in the am. This med is horrible!!

I have been taking ambien for about 10 years. I just found out that i was getting up in the night and eatting. Not just a snack but a whole pan of brownies, or a sack of doughnuts. I am a diebetic so this is not good for me. does anyone have any ideas for meor any other medicine I can try

well, it seems to me if our human bodies come with cannabanoid receptors... and they do) then there must be a reason. Medical marijuana definitely has its place. I have personally seen very ill people who when they are on their "regular" medications: Oxycontins, Morphine patches, high doses of hydrocordone, are pretty pain free, but they are also nodding off wherever they are. They cant drive and they cant function, but they get pain releif.
I have seen these same people off of their prescription meds, after they have ingested medical marijuana. They are calm, smiling, their pain is significantly less and they are able to function almost normally. A great majority of medical marijuana users are not "smoking joints and getting high" a lot of them use vaporizers to ingest the marijuana, so they get the medicine but not the smoke to their luungs. Tinctures are made, topical ointments, and many, many food products are made with medical marijuana in them. Here in Washington State the legislative body assigned the task of how much marijuana could be considered a reasonable monthly amount for patients to the Department of Health. They have had various workshops, etc. here in Washington State and sent the preliminary report to Governor Gregoire. She is noe asking for input from law enforcement which shows she is indecisive and is unsure of what she is supposed to be doing. The governor should and did get reports through the department of health, which was asked for. Asking for input from law enforcement is ludacris, my Doctor doesn't have to check with the cops to prescribe me something, or have them looking over his shoulder trying to decide how much I should have with any other medication. This governor doesnt have the courage of her own convictions and she is not listening to what the people of Washington voted for. She signed the bill herself for goodness sake! Governor Gregoire will be voted out and hopefully we get a new govewrnor who has some real courage to go to bat for patients who are terminally ill.

Why don't they investigate on other more important factors leading to car accidents, such as talking on mobile phones during driving for example? yeah, music may have a certain part here too( classic music makes you sleepy, hard rock on the contrary excites you too much), but, in my opinion, these are just minor damaging factors since they don't have such a big influence on human consciousness, on the contrary, they have more impact on subconsciousness.

The research above still seems incomplete to me. It doesn't clearly show whether soft/monotonous music would be more likely to make a driver drowsy or not, for instance. Too often I see radio stations broadcast at night soft music - one might hypohthesize that such music would tend to make a driver listening to it more drowsy, less alert, and hence, more likely to be involved in a car accident.

One method to complete this research might be to document what was playing in cars at the time of accidents. Was the radio on? what was the volume? was it playing in-car content (CD/DVD/etc.) or broadcast? if broadcast, was it playing a radio channel, if so, what was that channel playing, at the time of the accident and in the few minutes prior? if in-car audio, what was it playing?

If sufficient data is collected it might be possible to statistically correlate and help determine not only whether certain types of music or volume have impact on the abilities of driver's to drive better - but it will be empirical evidence of direct cause for accidents.

The power of such findings could be a clearly preventative form of accidents. If we know what sorts of music (or audio sources) are less likely to produce accidents, people would be able to "tune into them" when driving. Likewise, radio stations listened to often by drivers might focus on airing different content dependent on the time of day in order to reduce their impact on car accidents (if such an impact exists).
