Company to Make Vacuum Cleaners Using Plastics Collected from the World's Oceans

We know that huge islands of garbage can be found floating in the Pacific Ocean. The Swedish company Electrolux came up with an idea to collect plastic from the oceans and use it to create vacuum cleaners.

With the "Vac from the Sea" idea, the company looks forward to catch the attention of the public of the problem linked with plastic pollution. Another goal of Electrolux is to tackle the scarcity of recycled plastics used to manufacture sustainable home appliances.

The company's idea is to make a limited number of vacuum cleaners using plastic debris gathered from the Pacific, the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic, the Mediterranean and the Baltic and North Sea. It is worth mentioning that the process of collecting plastic will differ depending on the location.
