Latest Invention: N100 - World's First Solar-Powered LED Light Bulb

Share

A large number of rural regions worldwide are in deep need of continuous electricity.

With this in mind, Nokero decided to create a low-cost LED light bulb that harnesses solar power.

It is claimed that the new type of light bulb, which is called N100, is the world's first bulb that can light your house at night by harnessing solar power during the day.

It was developed specifically for the developing countries. The bulb features four solar panels that harness enough solar energy in the nickel metal hydride battery, located inside the N100, to provide light for 2 hours, informs Engadget.

According to Nokero, the bulb will cost $15. However, if it is sold in bulk, the bulb will cost around $6.
