New Solar Energy Parking System for Car-stuffed Cities

Nowadays the large number of vehicles on the streets of big cities is a huge problem and one of the solutions would be designing a creative parking space and would be both compact and sustainable.

That is exactly what industrial designers Algis Berziunas and Laima Rimkute though of when they designed this wonderful Green P parking system.

They designed their concept by taking into consideration the idea of a parking system parted into smaller spots that can be easily placed into empty spaces around the city, for example under flyovers and bridges, reports DesignBoom.

In addition, their system features a lighting mechanism that can compliment or replace common road lights. This would be possible by taking advantage of solar energy produced by panels mounted on the Green P's roof.

interesting idea. it could really be brought to life in the near future, but more information on the project is still required, i.e. the amount of energy generated daily or in an hour, the measurements of the parking space.
