Shower Uses the Power of Water to Heat It

Share

If you like this invention you can vote for it here. Designers from Mexico, Finland and Germany decided to team up and create a piezoelectric hot steamy shower that will be able to save more water and harness green energy.

The team's Piezo Shower features tubing mixed with a circuit of piezoelectric nano-wires that take advantage of water energy to produce power. The latter is then used to heat water.

The design of the shower not only looks nice, it also increases the surface area for water heating.

Besides heating water, the piezoelectric nano-wires are used to power the touchscreen controller that one can use to regulate water pressure, display the time spent in the shower and the quantity of water used. More information is available here.
