System That Collects Water from Air and Mist

According to estimations carried out by the United Nations, by 2025 over 66 percent of the planet's population will face serious issues linked with water shortages.

One of the alternatives to solving the problem was proposed by an industrial design student from Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Germany.

Imke Hoehler has recently unveiled his new project called DropNet.

The idea of Hoehler's design is to collect water from the air and mist. The system is able to gather about 20 liters of clean water each day. In case an array of such structures is used, the whole system will be able to supply an entire village with fresh water.
