World-Famous Architect to Design New Eco-Friendly Campus for Apple


Apple has chosen a well-known architect to design its new headquarters that will be located in Cupertino, California.

Recently the company announced that Norman Foster will the author of a new environmentally-friendly campus that will be built on 98 acres of land acquired from HP in November.

The new project is entitled "City of Apple" and, along with the 50 acres bought back in 2006, the total area of Apple's campus will span over a territory of 148 acres.

The main goal is to create a sustainable environment. Apple's new headquarters will feature a network of tunnels that will connect buildings in the campus, reports AppleInsider.

In addition, it was reported that the "City of Apple" will be models after the eco-friendly project of Foster + Partners, Masdar City in Abu Dhabi.
