Fat loss monitor
Fat Loss Monitors are a quite useful thing nowadays, since sometimes the body fat cannot be seen. It happens when the fat gathers in the inner organs (visceral fat) or blood vessels, which can lead to a whole series of complications and diseases. Even thin-looking persons may be "filled with fat" from the inside. That's why it's important to know what we are dealing with - this is where fat loss monitors come to help us.
Take for example Omron HBF-306C Fat Loss Monitor. It is handheld and has a 9-person profile memory storage. Its working technique is based on the Bioelectrical Impedance Method (Bi method), based, in its turn, on the fact that not all body tissues conduct electricity equally. Muscles, bones and blood vessels conduct electricity more than fat tissue does, because of their high water content.
That's why this fat loss monitor measures your body fat by sending an electrical current of circa 50 kHz through the whole body, a weak, gentle current that one never feels. All that a person should do is hold the grip electrodes with both hands and press the button to start; the results of the measurement will be ready in 7 seconds. Thus, by the means of this method, one will easily get his Body Percentage Fat, not only the level of the body fat seen on the outer surface, but also the fat lying in and between the inner organs and blood vessels.

Besides, thanks to the BMI feature (Body Mass Index), as soon as the result is settled, the body mass will be nominated as low, normal, high or very high, according to the values this method has established. This fat loss monitor also has a feature dubed Operating Analyzer, which calculates the FIT Index (Frequency-Intensity-Time). You get your FIT Index by introducing the frequency of your exercise trainings (with values ranging from 5 to 1), the intensity level of your trainings (from 5 to 4), the time you select for your workout (with values ranging from 4 to 1), and, finally, some personal data, such as height, weight, gender and age. This model also has 2 main modes (Athlete Mode and Normal Mode) for preciser results.
Another model from this series is Omron HBF-400 Fat Loss Monitor with Scale. It has 4-person profile memory storage and 3 Fitness Indicators: Body Mass Index, Body Weight and Body Fat Percentage, not to mention it has a large LCD display - a very nice combination of features too.
Omron HBF-500 Body Composition Monitor with Scale, besides the above mentioned indicators that calculate body (and especially visceral) fat and its percentage, also shows the level of skeletal muscle mass and resting metabolism - a thing that may help a lot and be very productive when deciding the fitness program and the number of calories per meal.
