France will not put a ban on skinny models

France will not put a ban on skinny models as the Health Ministry of the country suggested that underweight models need to be given special attention instead of being banned from podiums. Following the caused-by-anorexia death of two models in Latin America in 2006, the representatives of the fashion industry have been strongly criticized by the publicity for the promotion of ladies' weight loss.

According to the officials, the Ministry is making voluntary agreements for bringing young women into the field of mass media, advertising and fashion industry.
