16-Year-Old Teen from Ohio Builds Electric Vehicle

Deitrich Ludwig, aka Deke, from Monclova, Ohio, is the youngest person in the world to ever build an electric truck.

The 16-year-old youngster managed to replace the four-cylinder gas engine of his 2000 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck with a DC electric motor.

Besides replacing the engine, Deke also got rid of the radiator and exhaust system, and installed a control system, battery charger and a pack of batteries.
