Artist Uses Newspapers to Create Real Wood-Like Furniture

Share

Andrej Malinin is a talented designer from Sweden who makes use of recycled newspaper and colorful paper to manufacture furniture.

The material he obtains by gluing together several hundreds of paper layers is called Newspaper Wood. What is really impressive is that this material looks a lot like real wood.

It would be interesting to note that the gluing is made with the help of a special water-based product.

Some of his works from the artist's "Back to Wood" project were on display at an Eco-creative contest.

The Newspaper Wood is a material that can be easily cut, milled and sanded to make different objects that boast a wood grain effect.
