Audi Creates Electric Concept Bicycle Able to Reach 50MPH

The famous German carmaker Audi decided to make use of motor racing design principles in order to come up with a futuristic and fast Audi e-bike Worthersee.

The bicycle is equipped with an electric motor that helps the user rest their feet when tired of pedaling. The motor is also powerful enough to allow the bike to reach a top speed of 50 miles per hour.

The user can select between 5 cycling modes, including "Pure" (only pedal power), "eGrip" (only the electrical motor) or "Pedelec" - a mix of the two. The "Pedelec" mode allows hitting 50mph, and register a range of 31 to 44 miles. When the bike is powered only by electric motor it can reach a speed of 31mph.

It would be interesting to note that the bicycle is also equipped with a touchscreen computer that offers a myriad of features, including the configuration of power. The user can also connect a smartphone to the computer and select desired modes using the handset.

The frame of the bike is covered with homogeneous LED light strips, which is characteristic for Audi cars. With just a press of a button the user can configure the seat.
