BurritoBot - Device that Makes Burritos on Demand

BurritoBot is the thesis project of Marko Manriquez, a NYU Interactive Telecommunications Program graduate, who initially didn't have the idea of making a device able to prepare delicious burritos.

However, it is worth mentioning that the machine does not actually make burritos from scratch. It simply allows the user to select the combination of various types of salsa, guacamole and crema and then throw it all out onto a tortilla.

The user is able to control the mixture with the help of a smartphone application. But so far the machine is not fully functional, which means that Mexican food lovers will still have to wait in hope the device will make it into the market. According to the inventor himself, the machine was made with creative and philosophical meaning in mind, and there are currently no plans to making it available for purchase.

On his website, Manriquez also encourages people to come up with their own machines. Those who do not know where to start can contact him.

This July the inventor looks forward to launching a Kickstarter campaign in order to raise more money for the development of the Burritobot. He also plans to experiment with conceptualizations of food and man.
