Casio Paper Writer - Business Android Tablet that Quickly Scans Handwritten Docs


By the end of September the Japanese tech giant Casio will launch its Paper Writer, an Android-powered tablet that was created for business use only, being able to scan handwritten documents in just on action.

The device's case is shaped like a book cover, with tablet located on one side and notepad on the other. By closing the cover you can scan handwritten documents. In case a large number of documents need to be scanned, you simply have to stand the tablet up and leaf the documents in front of the case.

By using the new tablet it is easy not only to scan documents, but also classify the data. Let's say you have documents that have "important" written on them. The device automatically detects handwritten mark and organizes your notes. It is also possible to link the information to your schedule.

It is worth mentioning that the Paper Writer is equipped with a pair of 5Mp cameras, a 10.1-inch backlit display, and a 1.5-GHz dual-core processor.

Because the device has a built-in 7,000 mAh high-capacity battery, you can use it for about 12 hours. In addition, it is possible to replace the battery, so the user could care a spare, thus there would be no need to worry about battery life. The Paper Writer features an NFC reader-writer, which means that it supports IC card log-in and RFID tag scanning.

According to the developers, the screen of the device is bright enough to use it outdoors. Besides, the Paper Writer is rather tough, being able to resist a drop from 1 m; plus it is dust and moisture resistant.
