Century-Old Edison-Puton Monowheel at the Cholmondeley Show

Share

Each year the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power which takes place in the U.K. delivers something unusual and this year one of the most impressive things is the 1910 Edison-Puton Monowheel.

Despite the fact that the vehicle was built in Paris back in 1910, it managed to preserve well for more than a century.

At the show the 1910 Edison-Puton Monowheel features the frame, rider and a 150cc De Dion engine found enclosed by the wheel.

It would be interesting ton note that at least 40 grand monowheel projects have been underway since 1867.

Usually the Edison-Puton Monowheel can be viewed at the Auto & Technik Museum at Sinsheim, Germany.
