Artist Turns Digital Waste Into Sparkling Small Metropolises Inside Glass Coffee Tables

Share

Benjamin Yates is a talented artist who recycles digital waste, including circuit boards, digital photo frames etc, to create beautiful coffee tables.

But his works are more than just tables - inside those tables (covered with acrylic glass) you will find railroad figures and fairy lights that create a whole metropolis within the table.

The artist calls his works Electri-Cities. He uses outer casings from computers to make buildings, and screws to attach items to little landscapes.

There are times when Yates discovers parts that are still functional, like for example a CD player or speaker.
