DIY USB Typewriter Used as Keyboard for Tablets, Macs and PCs

Check out this very original device that turns a typewriter into a keyboard that connects to any Mac or PC via USB.

Besides, the typewriter can also be connected to the iPad (as you can see from the picture) and other tablets.

Based on your skill level, the developers say that it should take from 5 to 8 hours to create such a device. In order to see how to assemble the device, check out a this website.

Here are the tools you need:

A soldering iron and solder

A dremel rotary tool for grinding (you can also use a sandpaper)

Tweezers and Pliers

Hot Glue Gun and/or Superglue

Wire (better to use 24 or 26 awg stranded wire)

1" roll of gaffers tap.
