Google and Salesforce.com to Compete With Microsoft

Share

The number one search engine Google Inc. together with the on-demand vendor of Customer Relationship Management solution Salesforce.com Inc. may soon form an alliance.

The Wall Street Journal outlined on its site that both companies are currently in talks for forming an alliance, which is later meant to help Google and Salesforce.com to provide a better competition against the software giant Microsoft Corp.

The two companies need to work out details of their potential partnership. The Wall Street Journal mentioned that the details on Google and Salesforce.com partnership are expected to be announced in the next few weeks.

One outcome might be a Web-based offering, which would combine some on-line services provided by Google, including email and instant-messaging with services offered by Salesforce.com. It is worth mentioning that the customer-relationship management tools provided by Salesforce.com help salespeople track their accounts.

Neither Google nor Salesforce.com can currently be reached for any comment.
