HoneyMap - Tool That Allows You to See Malware Attacks round the World in Real-Time

HoneyMap is the work of the non-profit Honeynet Project. It was developed to illustrate the sources of cyber attacks in real-time.

It would be interesting to note that the map works by gathering information from a network of honeypots (represented by yellow dots) that ping right to the map the locations they are being hit from (represented by red dots).

Initially, the project was created as a hacking tool, the goal of which was to mix the group's instruments with fancier technologies like HTML5 and CSS3 and present it in a visually pleasing way.

Now the team is looking for more information. They offer the tools to help users set up and add their own honeypot to the HoneyMap. To take part in the process click here.
