Ice Angel - Installation with LEDs and Motion Sensors that Turn Users Into Angels

Developed by Dominic Harris of Cinimod Studio, the Ice Angel represents an art installation equipped with a 3-D camera that tracks users standing on a specially developed podium and allows the display at the back to generate a pair of digital wings.

When a person lifts their arms, a pair of wings appears on a large LED grid, thus producing the image of an angel.

Harris said that he views angels not so as evidence of deities but rather as carriers of the most important data in the universe.

The installation delivers the ideas than contemporary data sharing is timeless. Using black and white colors the developer of Ice Angel brings to mind the concept of ying and yang.
