Ideum Unveils Updated 65-inch Presenter Multitouch Wall Display

Ideum, the company that was founded back in 1999 in California and which is currently based in Corrales, New Mexico, has recently presented an updated version of its 65-inch Presenter Touch Wall Display.

The upgraded model is only 50.8 millimeters thin and it is available as display-only or with built-in computing and connectivity features. It also boasts (Radio-Frequency IDentification) RFID technology.

The display is covered by an aircraft-grade aluminum frame that boasts half the thickness of the previous model, with a bezel measuring 1.25 inches (31.75mm).

Having a solid state optical multitouch system, the display can register more than 32 simultaneous touch points. In addition, it has a striking 30,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a luminance of 500-nit at 120 Hz.

Because the company offered a new modular approach, the user has the possibility to choose the display on its own or equip it with CPU and connectivity box. In case of the latter, the buyer gets a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7-2720QM processor, a 1 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX560 graphics card, 8 GB of DDR3 system memory, 512 GB SSD, and built-in 10 W stereo speakers. The system also has HDMI in and out, USB 2.0, RFID, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Buyer can also upgrade the system and get 16 GB of RAM and two 512 GB SSDs. Now the system comes with Windows 7 but is Windows 8 ready.
