Japanese Electric Car Runs More than 1,000km On Single Charge

In November 2009, Japanese researchers tested an electric vehicle which registered a world record by traveling over 500 kilometers on a single charge.

Recently they tested a new electric car that features lithium ion battery from Sanyo.

The new vehicle ran non-stop for about 27 hours and was able to travel over 1,000 kilometers without being recharged.

Dubbed Mira EV, the electric vehicle registered a new record, which could be registered in the Guinness Book of Records.
