Latest Invention: Cardboard Hydrogen-Powered Vehicle

A team of students from the Aston University was able to create a hydrogen-powered vehicle that was made of cardboard and plywood.

Recently the vehicle won the Eco-Design Award given away by Shell for pushing the boundaries of sustainable car design.

The team plans to test its car on the track at the Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur, where it will participate in the Shell Eco-marathon. The latter takes place each year and its goal is to ride as far as possible on 1KWh or 1 liter of fuel.

Besides being made of eco-friendly materials, the car also boasts impressive fuel efficiency. The cardboard is sandwiched between plywood to form the body of the vehicle and its tire covers are made from bio-resin.

It would also be interesting to note that the whole structure can be collapsed for easy delivery.
