Latest Invention: Casio's Technology Turns 2D Images into 3D Artworks

Share

The latest technology from Casio allows taking 2D pictures and using a 3D printer to create nice sculptures out of them. The same Relief Painting Technology can be used to simply make images with a little depth and texture.

At its CES 2012 booth the company's representatives were handing out survey to onlookers and bypassers to know if someone liked the technology and whether or not they were willing to pay for it.

The lowest price included in the survey was $100, while the highest was $800. This means that if the technology hits the market it would not be offered at a comfortable price. Still, transforming images into sculptures sounds like a very interesting idea.
