The robot measures 25 centimeters (10 inches) in length, 23 cm (9 inches) in width, and is just 10 cm (4 inches) high. Its weight is about 2.3 kilograms (5 pounds).

The 110 FirstLook is equipped with 4 separate cameras that allow the operator to observe every direction at once. The cameras also boast IR illuminators for night vision.

IRobot, the company that became popular thanks to its battlefield machines, decided to makes its latest creation just as rugged and reliable. FirstLook can resist a 4.5 meters fall on the concrete and even drive underwater.

With the help of rotating flippers, the robot can climb curbs and stairs. In case it turns upside-down, the flippers allow it to flip over. FirstLook can reach a top speed is 5.6 kph (3.5 mph).

On a full charge it can scoot around for up to 6 hours before requiring a recharge. When the machine is in stationary position, the battery life is enough to allow the robot to spend 10 hours broadcasting live video, reports IEEE Spectrum.
