Latest Invention: GPS Shoes Will Help You Find Your Home Using LED Indicators

British designer Dominic Wilcox in his new exhibition opened at the KK Outlet gallery in England has presented shoes that could help an inebriated person get home easier.

Dubbed the No Place Like Home, the shoes make use of a programmable GPS receiver to guide their wearer home. The receiver is located in the heel and the circular LEDs attached to the left shoe show the direction the user should walk. At the same time the right shoe shows a straight line of LEDs that informs the wearer about the distance between them and the destination.

The same wearable technology could be used to track lost children, hikers, for instance.

The exhibition will be opened until September 26.
