Latest Invention: iConvert Scanner Makes Digital Copies of Documents for iPad Quick and Easy

Share

Brookstone has recently presented its iConvert Scanner for iPad. The user simply has to connect their iPad 1 or 2 to the device by inserting it into a special dock, launching the iConvert application and the scanner will then be ready to scan documents that will instantly appear on the iPad's display. The scanned images are saved as JPEGs in the photo library of the gadget.

It is worth mentioning that the scanner's slot can be used for documents measuring from 2 to 8.5 inches (5 to 21.6cm) in width. These docs can be scanned at a resolution of up to 300dpi.

As soon as the document has been uploaded on the iPad, the user can easily email, print, edit or delete it. In addition, the iConvert is a rather compact device and one can put it in a bag to carry anywhere.

The application required for the device is free to download from the App Store. At the moment Brookstone is taking orders for its device at $149.99. Shipping is expected to begin on February 1st, 2012.
