Latest Invention: SolarKindle - Case that Allows Your Kindle to Works Moths on a Single Charge

Imagine reading your favorite books on Kindle for 3 months without having to recharge the device.

SolarKindle does just that. SolarFocus recently announced it will present its Kindle case at CES 2012. The case allows the user to read Kindle for months. It also allows the reading lamp to light for over 50 hours per charge.

As you might have guess from the name of the device, the case features a built-in solar panel the harnesses solar energy to power both the case and Kindle.

Besides, with the help of a USB port you can charge the device during cloudy days.

The built-in reading lamp consumes only the power stored in the case's battery - the Kindle battery therefore powers only the e-book.

It would be interesting to note that the product was a 2012 International CES Innovations Design & Engineering Awards Honoree. You will be able to observe SolarKindle starting January 15, with the device wearing a price tag of $79.99.
