Latest Invention: Video Chat Glasses that Generate a Real-Time Avatar

Recently at CEATEC, Docomo presented its video chat glasses that portrait the user's face in real time, and afterwards generate a fully synchronized on-screen avatar in place of the image of actual person.
The background is also replicated with the help of a camera found at the back. Thus the system brings a video stream of an avatar in a real-like environment.

This technology allows people to engage in a video chat session without worrying about good looks, accurate clothing and the like.
According to the developers, the technology will hit the market in about five years.
