LED TV Coat Developed for Nevada's Burning Man Festival

Share

The awaited Burning Man Festival that will soon take place in Nevada, US, in the period between August 29 and September 5, 2011, is to be enriched with a nice LED television coat.

The invention was designed and developed by Dave Forbes and represents a complete NTSC TV composed of LEDs that were glued on thin flex boards. The color display measures 160x120 pixels.

The videos for the wearable LED television can be played from a DVD player or an Apple iPad.

The circuit boards of the television coat were placed on the shoulders and hips of the wearer. The content is displayed from front to the back of the wearer, including both sleeves.

It would be interesting to note that the digitizer board of the garment includes knobs to adjust brightness and color of the television.

The built-in 12V battery allows the wearable LED TV to play video content for about an hour per charge.
