MIT Student Invents DIY Self-balancing Unicycle

An MIT student who was probably inspired by the famous Segway (created by Dean Kamen) has invented his own self-balancing vehicle.

Surely at the moment his vehicle is not as shiny and polished as the Segway, but still it helps its inventor to drive through the campus.

It would be interesting to note that the DIY self-balancing unicycle is called "Bullet" and the name of its author is Stephan Boyer.

The young engineer admits that his vehicle has a drawback - it only balances forward and backward but not side to side. Thus the rider will get the feeling that they're riding a motorized bicycle without using their hands.
