New Type of Battery Could Charge EVs in Just 2 Minutes

A professor at Illinois University developed a self-assembling 3D nanostructure for battery cathodes (Li-ion and NiMH).

According to Professor Paul Braun, the nanostructure can help charge and recharge devices much faster. For example an electric vehicle will be able to recharge in just 2 minutes.

The work of Prof. Braun was published in the journal Nature Nanotechnology.

However, unfortunately there is currently no available groundwork for this technology to be used.

More information on the research can be found here.
