Nokia Team Working on Flexible Electronic Skin

Scientists from Nokia teamed up with researchers from the University of Cambridge to create a flexible circuit board that one can use as a second skin.

The new device is like an electronic skin that features a touch-pad.

It is able to respond to the user's pressure and touch. In addition it is rather flexible, being able to stretch up to 20 percent of its initial length and continue working properly.

In the near future the invention could replace various portable devices and even lead to the development of new high-tech clothing.

The official Nokia blog states: "What is solid and known to us right now, could be flexible and entirely different in the future."
