Pedal Your Way With Fahrradi Farfalla FFX - Ferrari-Like Vehicle

Ferrari is famous for creating stylish and superfast cars. However, they are not "green", which is why eco-friendly drivers have to search for alternatives.

Although the Italian brand looks forward to launching a hybrid model, those who cannot wait have the opportunity to acquire the Fahrradi Farfalla FFX.

The vehicle is the work of Austrian artist Hannes Langwelder and what makes it special is that the car features a set of pedals that replaced the V-12 engine. Thus the vehicle can only be powered by humans.

It would be interesting to note that "Fahrradi" means "bicycle" in German, and "Farfalla" is Italian for "butterfly." The designer decided to refer to butterflies because the rear axle of the vehicle moves the wing doors when on the road and this process resembles the wing beat of a butterfly

The car is rather light, weighting just 220 pounds. The pedal powertrain of Fahrradi Farfalla FFX has 11 gears.

It may look like a prototype, but the car is actually available for sale, wearing a price tag of $1.6 million. The Fahrradi Farfalla FFX can be viewed at the LENTOS Museum of Art in Linz, Austria.
