Robot Made of LEGO Parts and Motorola Droid Solves Rubik's Cube in 24s

Developed by David Gilday, this Droid controlled device is able to solve a Rubik's cube in about 24 seconds. Every move it makes the robot registers and shows on a LED display.

It would be interesting to note that during his childhood, David often thought about growing up and playing with LEGO. In order to create a robot that would be able to solve a Rubik's cube, Gilday developed a custom application on the Motorola Droid and afterwards built the LEGO robot.

The smartphone from Motorola films every move of the Rubik's cube using its built-in video camera. Check out the video below to see how the robot solves the Rubik's cube.
