Sony Presents New Flexible E-paper Display

A large-scale flexible e-paper display has been recently presented by the tech giant Sony. The company considers that its latest invention could pave way to rollable e-readers.

So far there is very little information regarding the details of the device. Sony unveiled its flexible e-paper display at the 2010 Dealer Convention. It was said that the invention makes use of a plastic substrate that replaces the usual glass panel.

Obviously, in order to make a display flexible you need more than just a replacement of the substrate. However, Sony is silent about the details of the e-ink technology used, informs Sony Insider.

According to the Japanese company, the flexible system has one positive side-effect - it doesn't break if dropped.
