The Hornster - Extremely Loud Bike Horn that Shoots Out 178 Decibels

Share

Meet The Hornster, probably the world's loudest bike horn. The device represents a horn system that makes it possible for bicyclists to emit 178 decibels with just a push of a button.

Just so you would be aware of how loud 178db really are, it should be noted that 140db can lead of hearing damage.

The noise from a shotgun reaches 170bd, so the noise level of the Hornster is extremely high.

It would be interesting to note that the device features an Airchime KH3A air horn that consists of 3 bells. Such type of horns can be found on some trains.

The whole system draws power from a full-size SCUBA tank. In case you're willing to get one, prepare to spend $8,000.

Check out the video below to see the Hornster in action.
