US Company Designs World's First Wireless Charger for Electric Cars

Based in Virginia, the company called Evatran designed the world's first EV wireless charging station.

The latest invention was unveiled at the Plug In conference in San Jose.

Evatran named its wireless charger Plugless Power. The company hopes to launch its new device in April 2011.

The price for wireless EV charger from Evatran will be $3,800. In addition to buying the system, the user will also have to pay $500 for the installation of a special adapter that comes with Plugless Power.
