Claire Warnier and Dries Verbruggen are the two individuals who founded the company. In collaboration with designer Tim Knapen they came up with a device which can be used to make pottery using a virtual pottery wheel.
Unfold's latest invention features a laser scanner and a RepRap, an inexpensive, open-source 3D printer.
Each visitor had the possibility to use the virtual tool to make real pottery. The created pieces are projected onto the wall after the user presses "Save" button and the next day the RepRap prints the pieces. More information is available here.
