Share

A while ago the team from fasterthanthewind.org together with Rick Cavallaro announced the development of a vehicle that would be powered by the wind.

The most interesting part was to prove that a wind-powered car can go faster than the wind.

Recently the team carried out a number of tests of their vehicle at El Mirage, California, where they managed to achieve their goal.

The wind-powered vehicle reached a speed that was 2.8 times faster than the speed of wind. The record was officially recognized by the North American Land Sailing Association.

It is worth mentioning that the speed of the wind was 13.5mph.
