World's Fastest Elevator Developed by Hitachi

Hitachi, the Japanese tech giant, is soon to finish the design of what the company claims is the fastest elevator in the world.

It is worth mentioning that in April the company will open the G1 Tower in Japan. The 213-meter tall building is going to be the place where engineers from Hitachi will test the lift. According to the company, the elevator can reach a speed of 1,080 meters per minute.

The new Tower is also going to be used to make the largest high-speed, high-capacity lift in the world; able to carry up to 5,000kg at a speed of 600 meters per minute, informs ConstructionWeekOnline.com.

The new vibration control and air pressure adjustment mechanisms developed by the Japanese company will considerably improve the riding comfort in high-speed elevators. In future Hitachi will focus on reducing the space need for lift shafts and lowering the weight of the elevator cars.
