World's Largest High-Def Video Screen to Show NASCAR Racing

In Concord, North Carolina, engineers are building the world's largest high-definition video board that will bee 200 feet long and 80 feet tall.

The weight of the structure will be 332.5 tons (665 pounds) and it will feature 9 million LED lamps. It is worth mentioning that the screen will show NASCAR racing events starting this May.

Developed by Panasonic, the board will stretch 110 feet above the race rack and show replays, leaderboard updates as well as interactive entertainment in high-definition (720p).

The public will be able to witness the giant video screen at the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, which will take place on May 21, and the Coca-Cola 600, which starts May 29, 2011, reports Gizmag.
