Latest inventions in science

If you are interested in the latest inventions in science, you should know that the scientists are currently working on the development of 'smart' contact lenses able to measure pressure within the eye and distribute medicament according to the measurements. They invented a new material called polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). Then, they managed to place powdered silver, with antimicrobial properties, on the PDMS in a precise pattern, thus creating conductive wires.

The scientists gave the PDMS-silver a contact-lens shape, so it could serve as a simple pressure sensor. A contact lens for continuous measurement of pressure within the eye and transmitting the data to a computer would greatly help doctors find out more about glaucoma, a major cause of blindness, and improve the ways of its treatment.

the washing machine - is pretty cool... they should've invented something like this long ago, because they consume too much water... the water must go to Africa, where people are starving and dying of durst! but we, the capital world, are some bunch of consumers who doesn't even care about other people!

as from the point of view of comfort, I agree with alcotrazz, it's pretty conveniec to understand what the dog says! maybe he/she is trying to prevent you from going somewhere, but you will go, because you don't understand what the dog says... there're a lot of ways that this invention could be potentially used, so I'd say gogogo inventors with those useful, environmentally green inventions!

BTW, the laser thing - quite interesting... in a few decades were' gonna use some pretty advanced technology in everyday life ('pretty advanced' - that's for today, and 'pretty damn slow' - for even farther future)
