Artist Makes Animal Sculptures Using Old Newspapers

Nick Georgiou is an artist from Tucson who recently presented his latest work made of recycled old newspapers. Georgiou's sculptures take the form of different animals.

According to the designer, today books and newspapers are turning into artifacts, being steadily replaced by digital content.

His sculptures are made of old newspapers that were either gathered by him or donated by other people. Georgiou folds these newspapers and stitches them together to make different creatures, informs OddityCentral.

The works of the American artist are meant to symbolize the death of the printed world, the economic crisis and issues linked with the environment. However, he also wanted to show a rebirth of the printed world.
