Artist Paints of Dead Floppy Disks and Other Obsolete Objects

Share

The talented artist Nick Gentry is a painter, but he doesn't apply paint on canvas. Instead he paints works of art on used floppy disks. This makes his works even deeper, considering that the painting are made on dead computer storage format.

The geeky cyberpunk works added more fame to the 31-year-old artist from London, who is already known in the art world.

In an interview Gentry gave last year, he said that [he] makes use of objects that became useless like old cassettes and VCR tapes. Some of his works are entitled XCHANGE and OBSOLETE.

Below you can check out some of his paintings made on floppy disks. You can also see more works of art in the slideshow and by visiting his website.
