Billboard with Jetpack Pilot Flying Around It Costs USD1.3 Billion

Share

Skydive Dubai and the global energy drink firm Go Fast! teamed up to create what they call the world's most expensive billboard.

For the ceremony the companies hired a jetpack pilot that was commissioned to fly around the ad, thus creating a previous unseen "interactive" advertising experience.

The pilot flew around the billboard with his jetpack and pyrotechnics were flaring below his feet. The whole process lasted about half a minute.

According to the two companies, the operating cost of the jetpack per second is $500. Skydive Dubai decided to estimate the cost of running the billboard together with the jetpack for a month and reached a figure of $1.3 billion.

It would be interesting to note that the world's highest building, Burj Khalifa, can be seen right behind the billboard.
