US Caterers Unveil Burger that Contains 4,800 Calories

Probably to prove once again that the United States is indeed a nation with the world's highest rate of people suffering from obesity, caterers at a sportsground in Michigan presented the Fifth Third Burger that includes 4,800 calories, which is twice the suggested daily amount of calories. Its name comes from the name of the park where it was unveiled.

The burger contains 5 beef patties, 5 slices of cheese, fries, chilli, salsa, sour cream and a bun, which was made using 1 pound of dough. However, it is worth mentioning that the developers of the snack did not ignore the health concerns entirely, including a few leaves on lettuce and several slices of tomato.

But wait, there's more - the Fifth Third baseball park, located in Michigan, launched a competition for anyone willing to finish the burger. Whoever succeeds gets a free t-shirt.

"Besides being unique and large and bizarre, it tastes good. I'm sure there are going to be crazies that come down and try to eat the entire thing," Scott Lane, West Michigan Whitecaps president, told the Grand Rapids News. According to the paper, the burger contains about 300 grams of fat, 744 milligrams of cholesterol and over 10,000 milligrams of sodium.
